An accident on Geyer Springs leaves two dead

LITTLE ROCK, AR – An accident on Geyer Springs at the I-30 eastbound ramp killed two people Thursday afternoon.

Little Rock Police say that an elderly female driver and her 10-year-old passenger were killed in the accident. Witnesses tell police that a ’91 Delta Oldsmobile was exiting I-30 eastbound at Geyer Springs and ran a red light. The Oldsmobile and an Altima then collided.

The elderly woman driving the Oldsmobile was pronounced dead at the scene. The 10-year-old passenger was taken to an area hospital. The child died the hospital at 5:15pm.

Mrsharris2011...dont make comments unless you know the whole story...her brakes went out and that's why she went through the intersection and the wreck occurred. She was watching what she was doing...Be nice!

My son was friends with the 10 year old boy. He will be missed dearly. We hugged our kids especially tight last night. We pray for the family and the lives they touched.

PEOPLE NEED TO START WATCHING WHAT THEY ARE DOING ON THE ROAD WHEN YOU ARE YOU HAVE TO DRIVE FOR YOURSELF AND EVERYONE ELSE TOO.

In this day and age everyone is in such a hurry and there are so many distractions. My prayers go out to the families. I always make the rule to count to 5 before going thru a intersection after my light turns green, you never know.

This intersection is awful and people are crazy just this morning a guy was going nuts because i wasnt moving when he want me to but there were cars coming he pass me and almost had a wreck himself people be patience and get out a few minutes early so you wont be on a hurry and cause an accident. :)

This was the mother of the Womens Ministry Leader of the Assembly of God of Arkansas and her 10 year old son. Please just pray for the family.

A better way to put that is we should all try to drive better. Everyone has room for improvement. Sorry for the families.

My prayers for the family of those killed. I was in a wreck Oct. 1st and was very fortunate to have not shared their fate. Wasn't my fault, either. You guys need to start driving better, we've had a bunch of bad wrecks lately.
