Does anyone realize there are good people living in these areas too. Instead of writing it off we should be uniting with those good people and helping them. I don't care where you live around Little Rock it reflects on ALL of us.

Amberjack, that's a real positive outlook. In fact, instead of encouraging a re-imaging of SWLR, let's shrug our shoulders and carry on as if SWLR "Ghetto" is okay because it's the norm. That's our area's problem. We don't support each other or try to get this city or recognize the issues here, instead of waving it off. Our neighborhoods and our schools already get ignored by the city and looked down on by anyone living north and west of us. It's not normal and it's not okay...there needs to be a change of attitude.

So very true wpsark. If a person wants to kill someone, they will use whatever it takes to do the job. You may as well outlaw bricks, bb guns, pellet guns, slingshots, ice picks, knives and any other object that may be used to kill someone. In other words, they should outlaw everything in the common house. That makes about as much sense as outlawing guns. LOL

if he hadn't have shot/killed him with a gun, he would have beat him to death with a blunt object or stabbed him to death. A killer is a killer no matter what he uses to kill. Gun laws have nothing to do with it.

charlie c, I agree with you whole heartedly. Guns are NOT the problem. It is the weak justice system filled with bleeding hearts that feel as if the convicted ones are the real victim. Prisons are weak, there is no punishment or rehabilitation. Gun crimes should carry a very stiff penalty.

Alot of people here wants to point the finger at guns and put it at the focus point and want laws that will take our rights away from law abiding people. when in fact its the law makers them selves at fault here. When a person commits gun crimes it should be the person or persons that should be held acountable. But yet the criminal has more rights than the victoms. When they make the punishment fit the crime and make a prison a prison and not a vacation resort with my tax dollars these crimes will stop.

The only background check THIS thug/perp went through was did he have enough drug-splattered $100 bills to pay his homey/gun dealer.

my guess is these guns were not obtained legally. you've seen the bumper stickers.......if we outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns. (not that you said anything about outlawing them) I don't know what the answer is but this is ridiculous!

We just have to come up with some sort of testing before gun ownership. There is just getting to be to many people with personal defects with guns.
