LITTLE ROCK, AR – Arkansas’ seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped one fifth of a percent from 7.2% to 7.0% in November.
Arkansas’ unemployment continued to be below the national average, which was at 7.7% for November. The national average also dropped by one fifth of a percent from October to November.
Kimberly Friedman, with the Department of Workforce Services, says the entire labor force contracted.
"Decreases in the number of employed and unemployed caused a decline in the size of the civilian labor force, which led to a drop in the rate this month. Arkansas' unemployment rate has trended downward so far this year, ranging from a high of 7.6 percent in January and February to a low of 7.0 percent in November."
