Update: 2nd Suspect Arrested in Connection to Jacksonville Shooting

Stanley Nelson has been charged with first-degree murder, battery and possession of a firearm by a certain person.
JACKSONVILLE, AR -- Police have arrested the second suspect wanted in connection to the shooting death of Latravis Morant that occurred early Thursday morning.

According to the Jacksonville Police Department (JPD), 33-year-old Stanley Nelson turned himself in at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Center on Friday.

Nelson has been charged with first-degree murder, battery and possession of a firearm by a certain person.

Department of Community Correction officials say Nelson was on parole until 2033 after serving 10 years in prison for discharging a weapon from a vehicle in 2001.

Police arrested 32-year-old Courtney Marshall in connection to the deadly shooting on Thursday.
