Update: 4 charged in El Chico murder

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Monday night, Little Rock police arrested two brothers and charged them with murdering a west Little Rock restaurant employee.

The brothers, along with two other people, now all face murder charges in a suspected plot to rob the restaurant where they all worked.

Brothers Kiywuan Perry, 23, and Zeckeya Perry, 19, along with Quantez Dobbins, 19, and Kenya Smith, 19, sit in the Pulaski County jail with no bond. They are charged with murdering Jesus Herrera late Sunday night at El Chico restaurant where all five worked.

Little Rock police think it was a plot by four employees to rob the restaurant.

The LRPD tracked down the Perry brothers, who live in North Little Rock, Monday and charged them with murdering their co-worker, Herrera.

The younger brother told reporters Monday night that he did not know why he was going to jail. Police tell FOX16 that four suspects went into El Chico Sunday around 9:00 p.m. and ordered employees to the back. That's when police say witnesses heard five gunshots. When police got there, they found Herrera shot and killed.

Police say the masked suspects also got away with cash from El Chico.

"I've been told, and what we've gathered from the witnesses, no one tried to intervene or struggle with the robbers," says Little Rock Police Sgt. Cassandra Davis.

While police think the four plotted to rob the restaurant, they aren't sure if they intended to kill anyone.

Erica Bilello says she's worked at El Chico on and off for eight years and knew Herrera.

"He's not confrontational, you know? He's just a happy person. I don't understand why, why him?" she said.

Now, Herrera is dead and four of his co-workers will have to answer to a judge.

"I want everybody to go down for this. It's not right. It doesn't, it's not fair," says Bilello.

At 5 p.m., FOX16 showed you video of two people questioned in this crime. Police now tell FOX16 that they were released and had nothing to do with the murder.

Little Rock police say customers inside El Chico during the murder did not get hurt and weren't robbed.

Little Rock Police say this is the 13th homicide this year.
