Update: Harding student dies in Spring Break Crash

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Harding University officials say that Ty Osman died Saturday night as a result of injuries suffered in a car accident.

Osman and 5 other students were traveling to Ft. Worth for Spring Break when they got into an accident Friday night on I-30. Texas Police say that the first accident happened at a construction area causing a chain reaction that led to three other wreck, injuring at least 7 people.
Statement from Harding University:

On Saturday night, March 4, 2012, Ty Howard Osman II, a freshman at Harding University, passed away. Ty had been fighting for his life since Friday, March 2, when a serious vehicle accident involving him and five other Harding students took place in the Texarkana area. Surrounded by his family and friends, Ty passed away in the Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas. He is survived by his parents, Ty Sr. and Nancy, and two sisters, Adair and Kendall. Funeral arrangements are pending.
