LITTLE ROCK, AR – Police have found a 5-year-old girl who had been missing since Tuesday morning.
According to the police report, Adriyanna Duhon was left alone in a roach-infested room at the Heritage House Inn on South University.
Mark Bird, an employee at the Inn, tells Fox 16 that he was testing new room keys, and when he knocked on room 187 only a girl’s voice responded. Bird says he and another employee entered the room to find Adriyanna just waking up.
In addition to the roaches, according to the police report, there were empty beer bottles and a glass crack pipe in the room with the girl.
The police report notes that the only light that worked in the room was in the bathroom, and a TV diner and an empty can of food were also found in the bathroom.
Bird says it is the most unlikely scenario that he has walked into in his 20 years in the hotel business.
The Department of Human services took custody of Adriyanna until they could locate her parents.
