This was a tragic ACCIDENT. A husband and father with two young sons is dead and an old man "has a scar on his heart" as the widow of the man killed said when she asked for prayers for the driver. Please, folks, stop with your one liner answers and assigning of blame - if you want to expend energy on this case, use it to pray for the families.

this doesn't mean the man is not capable of driving. was the other person jaywalking? was he just standing there? there comes a time when yes, you need to take the keys. but how are you going to feel when they take them from you someday? just something to think about. it was an accident....I feel for the old man.

@bluedoberman - Real sensitive comment there. I'm sure his widow and children who now do not have a father appreciate your stern adherence to the law...

Jay walking versus vehicle results in death. Citation for Jay Walking if he was alive.

80 years old and still driving...Standing in the middle of the street but he didn't see him...Last week a 80 plus year old woman drove through the revenue dpt. Pass a law that after 65 or so make them take routine drivers test to prove that they can still drive safe!
