Update: Steel manufacturing plant catches fire in White Hall

WHITE HALL, AR – A plant that makes metal parts for tires in White Hall caught fire just after 2pm on Monday.

The Pine Bluff Fire Department says some sparks from a welder caught a tire on fire. The ArcelorMittal plant was evacuated while fire crews fought the fire. It was put out in about 45 minutes, damaging an area about 30 feet by 200 feet.

No injuries were reported in the fire.
