Update: Suspect arrested in shooting incident

Roy Beers has been arrested in connection to the shooting. He was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated burglary, theft of property, 1st degree battery, and possession of firearms by certain persons.

CABOT, AR - Deputies responded to a shooting on Dean Martin Road late Sunday night and found a man who had been shot in the elbow.

Deputies say it appeared 29-year-old Matthew Sitzmann had been beaten in addition to being shot. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Sitzmann told deputies that Roy Beers had beaten and shot him before stealing his car. The car was later found on Sumner Cemetery Road.

No arrests have been made.
