"Spray" I agree with you! There are accidents everyday, tragedies constantly happen, and there are alway people pointing their finger! In the video, I say a bus driver looking at on coming traffic as he was turning, it's very unfortunate that he didn't look back in time to see the victim but come on... We blame him for looking for traffic?!?! He wasn't looking at a cell phone or listening to an ipod! He was driving!! Be serious people, is he really to blame, NO!! My prayers go out to both the family and the driver of the bus! I know the family is hurt and it was obvious that the driver of the bus was hurt as well! He killed a man! My heart goes out to them all! QUIT POINTING FINGERS AND PUT YOUR HANDS TOGETHER TO PRAY! Also, I don't think this video should have been released! FOX 16 should think about the family as well!! NOT A GOOD LOOK!!

First off "stray" check your self hun....yes i am complaining about the buses, because for one any person driving something so big in such a little environment with lots of traffic and be speeding and cutting be off...i have a problem with. No i do not speed, no i do not cut people off, yes i am considerate of all pedistrians who walk across the street when clearly they have the right way....so not all people drive like they dont have sense. i have two kids and two years, downtown i was hit from the side by a CAT bus driver because he was not paying attention of me driving beside him and just got over in my lane (going up scott street from the main street bridge) and he caused me to run head on into on coming traffic. the bigger the vehicle, yes, the driver needs to be more careful. stand you butt downtown and watch how the city bus people drive. i work right by the bus station now and when we get off of work to walk to our cars, they do not yield for pedistrians, they actually do not have respect for them they just turn and hit you. now when a pedistrian have the little sign across from them that says its okay to walk...you are suppose to stop and wait, do they...nope not all. not once in my life of staying here in little rock have seen a bus yield for pedistrian. so, if we have a problem with the way these city buses are driving...we have a right to be. they are more reckless then the normal vehicle driving beside you because they feel like since they are big they have full control of the streets, just like an 18-wheeler on the freeway or any other Commercial vehicle.

How can you show that video on the news of the man getting hit? Think about that mans family, children, etc. That is so sad, that his children or family would have to watch that again, and again! I can see where it would help the investigation but not the public news. Think of the family!

Two thoughts here - First of all, why is everyone automatically blaming the bus driver? The details haven't been released. Don't start accusing and getting nasty without knowing what you are talking about. Second, I work downtown as well and I walk my kids to and from eStem Charter School every day. There are plenty of people in cars who are just as reckless; speeding, turning over pedestrian right of ways with our looking, just trying to make the light. It's pathetic how little courtesy is shown by individuals who are just too selfish to think of what thier actions may do to someone else. Everyone zips through thier day like thier schedule and where they are going are the most important things in the world. Drivers and pedestirans alike need to realize the world is not revolving around them alone and start paying attention. You wouldn't walk into a dark parking garage without looking around but everyday I see people rush into the street with hardly a glance. Stop with the blame, try a little courtesy, and pray for this mans family.

First off, my sympathy to the family of David Wright. Second, I have read the brief article twice and do not know where it says that the bus driver did anything wrong nor does it say that the victim did. It is under investigation. Third, speeding, not looking for pedestrians, cut you off or in front of you happens everyday by crazy drivers in a hurry or running late regardless if they are driving a car, pickup, bus, semi etc. It happens on the freeway, busy streets, and side streets. Now I know that you all are perfect role model citizens that have never done any of these things. Why is it that everytime there is a tragedy, everyone on here automatically starts blaming someone without knowing what happened. wait for all the details to come out and then start pointing your fingers. In the mean time, pray for the victim of the family.

What's going on with C.A.T drivers today. At lunch time I saw another accident with a bus down by the Doctors Building. It had traffic held up. They do be speeding sometimes because I used to ride on about 8 years ago to work.

The Little Rock School district bus drivers drive just as bad, if not worse. They are on their cell phones or Ipods the entire bus trip and do not stop at stop signs and cut people off and pull out in front of them all the time. I requested that my hours be changed at work just so I can take my children to and from school so I dont have to worry about them all day.

If you notice there are a lot of young CAT Bus drivers and they drive so erratic. I see them flying everyday. I was on JFK/107 and it is the Jacksonville Express I think. GOOD LORD!! He came through there like a tornado. The speed limit is 40, heck I kept up with him and I looked down at my speedometer and I was doing 45 and the bus was still in front of me, so that let you know how fast he was going that morning. By the way all the dedicated bus drivers have retired.. I hav learned to let the bus have the right of way, even when they are wrong. Bus is bigger than my car...
