The new bridges look like the current one so why not just leave the old one and stop wasting money for something we already have.

The real mistake is allowing a true MORON named Randy Ort to have anything at all to do with it. He is simply a "yes" man that keeps his head planted between his boss's legs and knows VERY LITTLE about how a highway department is run, he got a friend of mine's son killed due to HIS negligence and simply shrugged it off like it was just another accident.

As a retired towboat Pilot that spend 35 years on the AR river I look for the widest and highest bridge design. I do pity the Pilots that will have to past thru the construction chaos.

What I wonder is how many hungry children could be feed with this money. Or the programs it could fund for them. Tear the POS down sell the scrap and feed and educate our young.

Trust me boogerbreath, where I live is nothing like LR/NLR or Crime Bluff. I understand that crime is everywhere, never disagreed there, but some areas are far worse than others. But one would have to agree that LR/NLR and Pine Bluff are full of wannabe gang bangers and thugs that have nothing better to do then to commit crimes. There is crime where I live, but not a single robbery, rape, murder, violent crime, etc. in years. And we are quiet proud of that. Unlike the above mentioned areas that setting records for violent crimes. You say I am silly at times, but I am only expressing my views, if some agree, great, if some dont, oh well, I could give a crap less if anyone agrees with me, but I think most with sese do.

It will be such a beautiful and expensive bridge connecting two ghettos. The old bridge does need to be replaced, but just put in a bridge, not put in a monument. No one will care more or less if its a typical bridge that gets put in. The tax payers would rather see a less expensive bridge than a overpriced, glorified monument of a bridge.
