Video: Conway bear tranquillized, falls out of tree

After nearly six hours, two tranquillizer darts, and a couple squirts from a fire hose, a bear has been safely removed from a tree in a Conway neighborhood.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to the amazing people who helped rescue this bear. I'm writing from Kalamazoo, Michigan and felt I had to tell the rescuers how heartwarming it is to read a story like this where people came together and found a solution that was in the best interests of the bear. A few years ago in a neighboring county, police chased a bear, rammed it with their car, and shot it 9 times until it fell out of a tree. I'm glad to see the residents of Conway are compassionate and intelligent people who care about bears and will do whatever it takes to help them. Kudos to you all!!
