FAULKNER COUNTY, AR – A Viola man has been arrested on internet child stalking charges.
According to reports, an undercover investigator with the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office started an online investigation with the suspect, 61-year-old Lester Lee Hendrix of Viola attempted to meet with the investigator with the intent to have sex with her, her 10-year-old daughter and her 8-year-old son.
Police say after Hendrix suggested a public place to meet, the investigator met up with him on September 6. After a 30 minute conversation, Hendrix was arrested on charges of Internet Stalking of a Child. A search warrant was conducted on his vehicle and on his residence. A computer and accessories were seized and placed into evidence.
"We have a team of people who stalk people who stalk children, and if you're talking to children in Faulkner County, you may be talking to an investigator," Major Andy Shock said.
Shock asks parents to monitor their children's online activity.
"He came to Faulkner County with that intent to engage in this type of behavior and that's something, and we take pride and pleasure in getting these people off the street," Shock said.
