Before the official release of Peter Jackson's new WM3 documentary, West of Memphis, you can see it in Little Rock at the Market Street Cinema.

Wednesday night, those who have followed the case from its beginning lined up to see it.

The film was also produced by Damien Echols and his wife, Lorri.

Carol Barton liked the film so much after she saw it in Tennessee, she showed up Wednesday night to see it a second time.

"There are additions to it, and I probably missed something. It was really good," says Barton.

Susan Heffington is from West Memphis. She knows one of the WM3's mothers.

"Three young men that decided to do some kind of ritualistic murder of little kids, it would have been a lot messier and more evidence," says Heffington.

Both women side with the film's theme of digging deeper into the DNA evidence to find the real killer of three young boys so many years ago.

Both also hope for the best for the three men who recently regained their freedom.

"I'm hoping that the movie will tell a little bit more about their side. It's what I've heard it does, and I hope that they make something out of their lives, and that they're able to carry on with a normal life," adds Heffington.

"Exonerate Damien, Jason and Jessie and go after the real killer, Arkansas. Quit embarrassing yourself," said Barton.

The film screenings are free and the next one is Thursday night at 7 at Market Street Cinema.

Elves, not elfins! Tolkien is my favorite author, right up there with Poe and Lovecraft. I love "escaping" into Middle Earth; it's a far better place than this garbage heap we live on! And in Middle Earth, you can waste the bad guys without the "law" interfering; something our society should look at! Clean up LR in a heartbeat it would!

Trident; the boys were 8 years old. Genetic material found on the boys did not match them or the alleged murderers. Two WM teenagers left for CA 4 days after the boys were discovered. CA gave them polygraphs, which they failed, and one of them admitted he "may have killed them" but later recanted his statement. CA sent urine and blood samples to WM, but the law there did not look at it. And there is Mr. Bojangles. A black male that used a restaurant to wash blood off of himself. The WMPD did not follow procedure here; blood taken from the bathroom was "lost". 3 neighbors signed sworn statements saying one of the boys stepfathers was the last person seen talking to the boys. Oh, and Mr. Bojangles; one of the boys was wrapped in a sheet, with the hair from a black male on it. So lot's of other suspects that were not looked at closely, or at all. WMPD dropped the ball on this one; bunch of inbred morons. Best part of them, the DA and judge; it ran down their mothers' legs!

I don't know if they did it or not, but I only question why these three teens were playing with 5 year old boys(WM3 were the last people seen with the dead children). When I was a teenager I never played with or associated with 5 year old children.

I think they were made scapegoats so the crime would be solved quickly. After reading so much about it, and watching the doc's on TV; it appears there is evidence pointing to a certain step-father. But West Memphis PD, the DA, the judge, the coronor; none are likely to admit making a mistake. As far as them making money; if they are indeed innocent; they deserve it for all the years of freedom they lost. Just because I wear black leather, a wallet with a chain, and have long hair does not make me "Satanic". I never believed they were guilty to begin with. If we are to judge based on looks; then I'd say everyone with short hair is a child molester; look at the pics, and jobs, of recent cases. Short hair, working in a church ( not just Catholic either you Baptists out there! ) or youth advocate program. There are people in my church that look down their noses at me for the way I dress, the length of my hair, and what I ride to church. Those so called "Christians?" can kiss my a**.
