Watered-Down gas in North Little Rock

"This is fuel that was taken out of my car," explained Regina Butler as she held up a jar full of what looked like water. Butler says she bought the watered down fuel at a Shell station on J.F.K. Boulevard in North Little Rock. Then less than a mile away, her car broke down.

RADAD - Did you bother to read the story, or do you comment based solely on headlines and speculative inuendo? The station owner indicated that he accepts responsibility for his customer's misfortune and is paying to have their vehicles repaired. He was merely stating that it wasn't a lack of maintenance or faulty tanks that led to the water in the tanks. He is correct, and state inspectors confirmed his statement. I applaud this business owner for taking the proper steps to correct the matter for his customers.

3 weeks ago I put $50 in gas at the kum n go on baseline and university. 5 minutes later when I entered I~30 my truck started hesitating while driving on the express way. the next morning I had a terrible misfire an then I noticed white smoke. Took it to my mechanic to find one of my injectors had gone bad. When I read this story I thought about it was starting to rain when I pulled into the station that day. Just one of those things that makes you wonder

Water sits on the bottom of the tank....the tank has to be VERY LOW on gas to get to the water..for it to get in your car....OR THE TANK WOULD HAVE TO HAVE AN AWFUL LOT OF WATER IN IT. You "stick" your tanks every day to see how much you sold and have left... and what you put on the end of the "stick" will turn a color if water is there.....So?

2F071 smells something fishy....Might it be the ethanol and the change of temp? Ethanol absorbs water and falls out. Wait till the Bio Diesel gets hit with the weather changes!

The Shell station is responsible for any and all fuel it sells to the consumer. Vandalism, employee theft, whatever. That stations owner is responsible for the fuel it sells. Not their fault, is it ever?

Way to go, admit there's a problem, face it, and pay the cost! That's how it is supposed to be done!
