they have done a fine job of keeping Mr. Stephen's golf course out of the discussion as well, and it obviously dumps chemicals into the runoff that flows into the lake

Yes there was arguing and yelling from some angry property owners but there was also begging and pleading from them as well. I believe this article failed to mention that only half the people in that room were actually land owners. There were citizens from Little Rock, Jacksonville, Hot Springs and other cities and various organizations. I believe the main focus of this article should be about the fact that there was one person who turned to the crowd and asked if anyone in the room was for this plan as it is written now and NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON was. We told the planning board that since no one was there to speak for the plan to please consider that it was not ready to move forward to the Quorum Court, but as Mr Jansen said the people that work for the people did not hear the people. It is very easy to say that things could be refined through the legislative process but they aren't the ones who have to go through the cost and expense of hiring lawyers to get those changes made. Those expenses could be overwhelming for a small land owner that this plan effects or a person who drinks the water that this plan also effects. I really hope that people will call the JP in their area and let them know that has a voter they request that they do not vote for this plan in their upcoming Dec meeting until it protects the small land owners. pcpropertyownerscoalition.com
