Danner was 22 years old when she was convicted, and has asked Arkansas Governors for clemency 21 times, only to have each request rejected or ignored.
LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Shirley Danner is serving a life sentence without parole for the 1975 murder of T.G. Poeteete of West Memphis.

Danner was 22 years old when she was convicted, and has asked Arkansas Governors for clemency 21 times, only to have each request rejected or ignored.

Her most recent request is waiting for Governor Mike Beebe's decision, however Governor Beebe has never commuted the sentences of violent offenders.

This is the unedited interview that Fox16 News Anchor Donna Terrell conducted with Danner at the McPherson Unit as part of the Arkansas Department of Correction in Newport, Arkansas.

This interview is part of a special report that Donna produced on Danner and her family.
