JONESBORO, AR- (Press Release) Approximately 97 percent of Internet users look online for information about local services, from restaurants to hardware stores, plumbers to dentists.
Yet, at least half of all small businesses do not have websites.
To help remedy this problem, the Arkansas State University Small Business and Technology Development Center and Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce will offer a special workshop, “Website in a Day,” for local small business owners and their employees on June 12.
“Website in a Day” will be held at the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, 409 Vine Street in Batesville on Wednesday, June 12, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The hands-on training will guide participants step-by-step through creating an attractive, functional, five-page website using ASU SBTDC-provided laptops.
Space is limited to 15 attendees and pre-registration is required.
To register, contact Mandi Curtwright at the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce at (870) 793-2378 or e-mail Mandi.email@example.com.
Registration fee is $50 per person, $40 for Batesville Chamber of Commerce or Main Street Batesville members and $35 for UACCB faculty, staff or students.
