For nearly two decades, prison was the only home Jason Baldwin, Damien Echols and Jessie Misskelley Jr. knew.

They're out. It's been a year. So what? The media obviously doesn't have anything else to do except fire up emotions on this anniversary date. Are we going to get this every year on this day? It's not the 9/11 tragedy.

The whole thing is a crock of shat. All the way from the original investigation to the prosecution to the terms of release of these three. Someone (law enforcement wise) should be charged with f'ing the whole thing up. It will never be resolved fully and that sucks a great big one for the families of the three boys killed.

itsjustme: First of all, when you spent as much time in prison as they had to, for a crime they DID NOT commit, you would take any way out you could get. Yes, it stinks that they made the plead guilty so that they could get out, but they ARE in the process of getting the plea changed. It's MUCH easy to fight something & get something fixed outside of prison than inside, which is what Damien Echols said in an interview right after their release. And also, the "system" or the "law" would have NEVER let these men go, no matter what they pled, if they were TRULY guilty of these 3 murders. Prosecution knew it was wrong, but they will NEVER admit it & making these 3 innocent men plead "guilty," was their way of FINALLY addressing their mistake still WITHOUT admitting they were wrong.

itsjustme; I still think they were made scapegoats. The law was pressed to find the perps; so they found the best they could in a short amount of time. I still think the step-father did it. Evidence has pointed to him. But the DA and others won't admit they made a mistake. If I ( or you ) were locked up for that long for something we didn't do; I'd want to make a little dough myself.

They pleaded guilty to a lesser charge, released from prison and yet they maintain their innocence. If you were innocent, why would you plea guilty to anything? This was a political ploy by Ellington and it was the only way these three were going to get out of prison. No one will ever know what happened that day, except for the one(s) that killed them boys. It makes me sick that these 3 are making money off of this.
