White County Sheriff’s Deputy injured on the job

WHITE COUNTY, AR – A White County Sheriff’s Deputy was injured while on the way to respond to a call Wednesday night.

According to reports, around 10:00 pm on May 16, Deputy Saretha "Shan" Jackson's vehicle left the road and struck a culvert near the intersection of Hwy 36 West and Hwy 305. Police say Jackson suffered non-life threatening injuries. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

The accident is being investigated by the Arkansas State Police.
