JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) — A judge has set a $1 million bond for the wife of a Jonesboro businessman who is charged with capital murder for allegedly conspiring to have him killed.

Circuit Judge Keith Blackman on Thursday determined that Michelle Despain collected insurance money following the August death of her husband, Marc Despain. Blackman said the cash gave Despain the means to flee with her children, so he set the high bond.

Lawyers for Despain argued that she has remained in Jonesboro since the killing and has cooperated with investigators.

The Jonesboro Sun reports one person has already pleaded guilty in the case and two others are charged.

Despain has a June 25 hearing set.

I knew IT! When I first heard about that man being murdered, I figured his wife had something to do with it....I'm glad they're charging her with capital murder..She should get the death penalty, shouldn't matter that she didn't actually pull the trigger, she is the reason that he is now dead!
