Witnesses react to Gould Mayor attack

@Factfinder21: It seems like you are bouncing in your stand. First, you ask for the people to review the Mayor's past record and you provided information (factual or false) about an incident with a past governmental official (Treasurer). Now, you have stated that you are not saying that the Mayor has an unclean record. Fact is any-time that a person is charged (to include a ticket) or arrested he/she now has an unclean record (although the record can be cleaned, depending on what it is). Now, it appears that you have avoided answering the question of “ is the Mayor the only city official with an unclean record. This leads me to assume that the answer is no. To clarify, I was not just referring to the building I was asking you for facts regarding all issues that are surrounding the controversies between the Mayor and the city council (i.e. the grant for cleaning the ditches). As for a way to gain the information regarding the building (since you asked for my suggestion), the proper FOIA steps should be followed. A qualified (not Ms. Farley) representative can talk to the prior owners of the building regarding the deed. It would be in the best interest professionally and personally if the city council and/or their representative learn communication and networking skills. Now, let’s visit your 7/30/2011 7:21 PM posting. In this post you stated that the Mayor is or has changed his story. The fact is he was attacked in which he received a head injury. In my field of work a head injury may cause minimum or traumatic damage. Therefore, he may have said 1, 2, 3 individuals attacked him. The fact is he was still attacked with a weapon of choice (pistol or fist). Also, the Mayor appears to be an educated man, but even if he was not, he should know if his family is being harassed.From your statement the Mayor had been a past harasser, so who knows harassment better than a harasser.You have a lot of opinions (good and bad). It’s good to have opinions, but facts are better.

@ Factfinder21 - Nash left her office with the Gould Police Department in pursuit of him & a high speed chase ensued with speeds reaching 100 miles per hour. He was later overcome & arrested, with the help of Lincoln County Deputy's. Where's the proof? There is NO FEASIBLE WAY FOR ANYONE TO BELIEVE YOU WHEN YOU HAVE NOTHING TO BACK UP YOUR "FACTS".

@ Factfinder21 Wow, your comments don't seem to be an evaluation of the "facts" at all. For the most part it appears that you have some type of personal bias against the Mayor of Gould. Furthermore, most of your comments come off as the rants of an individual who is not concerned with "justice" but rather a justification for the violence aimed at the Mayor. You seem to have a lot of "personal knowledge" regarding events that the Mayor has been involved in. However, from what you've stated it appears that you yourself were not present for these events. Therefore, your statements regarding certain events involving the mayor appear to be hearsay. While we're on the subject of making sure everyone is aware of the elements of crime, maybe the council members should be informed on the elements of stalking. Because from what I observed, one of the councilwomen admitted to such when she declared that she had followed the Mayor on several occasions...regardless of the reason. As to the reasons why the Mayor is currently the mayor...the people elected him. Therefore, the majority of citizens in your town felt like he was someone who could fairly represent them. If you have such a problem with it...then maybe you should've run for mayor.

Fox 16 News first reported that Nash was allegedly attacked by Three city council members. Gould has Five females & One male on the council. Now it is reported that Nash was allegedly attacked by Two brother's of a council member. What is going on here? I have found through the years that Fox 16 has a very good record on accuracy. Has Nash changed his story? He says he approached the group because they were harassing his family. Does Nash even know what constitutes harassment? Has Nash ever been guilty of harassment? Newspaper accounts & court records reflect that when Nash was a city council member he, along with others was charged with violating the FOI law by attending an "illegal" meeting with the Recorder Treasurer, himself & Two other council members, at the home of one of the members. The Recorder Treasurer allegedly was told to come by the home of a city council member, so they could talk with her. She felt that something was not quite right so she "secretly" taped the illegal meeting and gave a copy of the tape to the chief of police. A statement was given to the chief & a complaint was filed. According to newspaper accounts, Nash came into the Recorder Treasurer's office an attempted to get her to sign Two affidavits saying that her statement given to the chief of police was not true. She refused to sign the affidavits and Nash allegedly kept insisting that she sign them. She ask him to leave her alone & get out of her office & he refused. She then called for the police and informed them that Nash was harassing her. Nash left her office with the Gould Police Department in pursuit of him & a high speed chase ensued with speeds reaching 100 miles per hour. He was later overcome & arrested, with the help of Lincoln County Deputy's. Was the recorder Treasurer harassed? In the eyes of Nash, no, she was not! To the public, yes, she was harassed, & don't forget the danger he posed to himself, the police & the public in this unlawful incident.

Nanny...Nanny...Poo...Poo Grow up & do what you were elected to do. Serve the people of your community & don't focus on your own egos. PS: Forward this to Washington while you are at it.

If they have a sign that says "Welcome to Gould" they should take it down and put one up that says "I don't got no class, or Grammar"

Disband the Gould Police Police Department & let the County or State Police provide protection to the citizens. Gould must have leaders & police officers who can obey the laws. Elected officials & police officers who break the law have no right to tell another person they are wrong! You cannot have a "double standard". That is exactly what is wrong with Gould. Gould has experienced a "conflict of interest" concerning the City Attorney also holding the position of Deputy Prosecutor for the 11th Judicial District at the same time. People who attempted to file charges against wrong doing by Gould officials have basically been denied due process. The citizens of Gould need to file a lawsuit against the attorney involved, who basically denied the rights of the people. The money can be used to fund make improvements within the city. Also, the taxes owed to the IRS should not be paid by the citizens! Get Real! The taxes should be paid by the elected officials who were responsible by virtue of serving on the council, as mayor or as a recorder treasurer. Let the IRS file liens against the personal assets of officials involved. They all took an oath to uphold the laws of the city & state! Has it been done in Gould? Why ask the good citizens of Gould to pay for the failure of elected officials? It is time for a wake up call! It is time for the citizens collect money from all those individuals who are responsible for the mess we have in Gould.

I would like to add that the mayor from what I'v see and hear is a man of strong character and has all's the size of water melon's! I want to know why the lady in the video was not arrested on the charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct possible assault on a police office the video was pretty clear that the state trooper identified him self to her gave her an order to stop and come here and she resisted! next I would also like to know why the camera man didn't keep filming the officer and her rather than the load moth and then turned the camera off? next one of the council members doesn't reside in her own district which is a violation of the state election laws and I believe is a class C felony. Next I believe that there have been several federal laws broken here as well so I would like to know where the FBI and US justice department is? Finally it seems like the mayor needs to start carrying a gun and defend himself as is his constitutional right.
