LITTLE ROCK, AR - A West Little Rock woman called 911 as she escaped from her burning home Wednesday morning.
The damage is so bad that the homeowner, Patricia Jackson, can not stay at her 36th Street home anymore. The 911 calls came into dispatchers around seven Wednesday morning. Jackson called herself as she escaped and the made the call from out in her yard.
Jackson has lived in the two-story brick home for about ten years.
While the brick walls still stand, the fire destroyed the inside of the home and melted everything outside that isn't brick.
A neighbor gave FOX16 home video shot using a cell phone showing the fire and smoke destroying the home.
Wednesday afternoon, after Jackson talked with fire investigators from Little Rock, she told FOX16 that she did not want to do an on-camera interview. She understandably said she is still shaken up about losing her home.
Jackson said she plans on getting help from the Red Cross. The Little Rock Fire Department tells FOX16 that everyone got out of the home without getting hurt, and it appears the home is a total loss.
Right now, fire investigators are still trying to figure out how the fire started. It took them about thirty minutes to put out the flames.
