Woman dragged alongside car during purse snatching

LITTLE ROCK, AR – A woman was dragged alongside a vehicle as two unknown suspects attempted to snatch her purse Sunday.

According to Sgt. Cassandra Davis with the Little Rock Police, police responded to a call about a purse snatching at 8801 Baseline Road around 1:44pm on December 16. When they arrived, police spoke to two witnesses who stated that the victim, 84-year-old Gussie Bridges, was dragged alongside of a vehicle after a female suspect attempted to grab her purse as a male suspect drove away. Bridges was still holding onto her purse as she was dragged.

Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects or the vehicle, described as a maroon Nissan Frontier. Bridge was transported to UAMS to be treated for several injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.

The elderly lady was wearing a crossbody bag - she did try to get free of the purse but she was drug beside the car because the strap was still around her neck.

You can't even go into those 'Chinese' neighborhoods anymore. SWLR used to be a really nice area, but that was back in the 70's, so when the 'Chinese' moved in I moved out. Three breakins in 4 months. I got the hint and never looked back. Back in my hometown now and feel so safe an stress free. Still like the 'Chinese' food tho.

You know people putting all jokes aside. I always stress to Granny Grump to turn loose of her purse. She might be pulled under the car. If it caused damage I could be sued. Lord we can't afford that.

My guess is these are the same 6' tall red headed Chinese people that snatched a purse in the parking deck. You know how them damn 6' tall red headed Chinese are. :-)

I am with you guys, one can only imagine how dangerous it is in the SWLR ghetto and to think some of the old people simply cannot afford to move so they have no choice but to live in that cesspool

Totally agree!!!I think the worst thing we do today is beautify prison and Jails; they make it comfy so now no one thinks its so bad; for some it is better than they have at home, back in the day they had to work hard when they were there, no one wanted to go because of the chain gangs and the hard work!!! now all they do is sit around talk, work out, still fight and smoke and eat good and sleep. Yeah we do need more but have you see them; they look better than some hotels!!!!!!!!!!

Wish some one was around with a gun and help the lady,I carry mine all thetime wish I were there,I would started with the tires and than who knows what else,hope she is ok.
