Woman killed in early morning accident

CONWAY COUNTY, AR – One woman is dead after an early morning accident on HWY 9 in Conway County.

According to reports, around 6:45 am on January 28, 48-year-old Lisa Williams of Springdale was attempting to push her stalled out vehicle out of the northbound lane of HWY 9 at Birdtown when her vehicle crossed over the center and entered the southbound lane. 58-year-old Thomas Pate of Clinton was driving southbound at the time and struck Williams’ car on the driver’s side. Williams was pronounced dead at the scene. Pate was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing.

Well she was driving without a DL and in an unregistered vehicle i am so sorry for the family and most of all the children but if you don't have a drivers license don't drive. Again my heart goes out to the family

Sad that she was killed attempting to push her car off the road and reduce the risk of injury to other drivers, Sadder that there are obviously NO gentlemen or honorable men from conway traveling that road. Apathetic uncaring drivers too lazy and self centered to stop and lend a hand....Society is truly on a rocket sled to hell

Wow whocares... thats a real crappy thing thing to say. A woman is dead and now her 4 children are without a mother. I pray people show you a little more respect if you ever lose anyone.
