LONOKE, AR – A woman trying to get help on Highway 70 in Lonoke County last week was struck and killed by a passing SUV, according to the Arkansas State Police.

The accident happened around 9:40pm on Friday, Aug 24th. ASP says Kimberly Perkins, 39, was trying to flag-down traffic for assistance after the car she was riding in ran out of gas.

ASP believes the suspect vehicle is a GMC Denali made between 1999 and 2002. The suspect drove away from the scene. A witness to the accident says the SUV was dark in color. The suspect vehicle should have significant damage to its front, along its right side.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Arkansas State Police at 501-618-8100.
