Watched the evening news; Kevin said puppy mill; so I guess they were not strays; at least according to Fox. Winly; I don't think we'll ever see the last hungry child fed until Jesus comes back. With all the legal ( booze, prescription drugs ) and illegal garbage ( crack, meth, and other poisons; not to mention the individuals that make and distribute it ), and the men and women that have sex, then have a child they can't or won't take care of; it isn't going to happen. It never has been a perfect world since Eve took a bite; and won't be until the King of Kings returns.

I don't think they would let me post my thoughts on punishment for this animal. I will leave it at that.

wp and cm; I sympathize with both of you. I've had the good fortune of drop offs running around a few days, then going elsewhere, or getting nailed on the highway down the other end of my street. I also have the good fortune of living somewhere that enables me to get rid of them ( if I had to ) without anyone knowing about it. Also, Pulaski County Deputy told me once I had the right to shoot and kill anything that came on my property and bothered my pets. Did it once; just a leg shot, didn't want to kill it; owner was angry, especially after the law didn't do anything about it. He went to the DA ( District Attorney in most cases; DumbA** in this one ), they wrote me a nasty letter, and I wrote one just as nasty back at them. Never heard another word from the Pulaski County DumbA**. So I guess one has to do what one has to do in these situations. Up to the individual I reckon as to whether you want to feed them, or shoot them if there are no other options.

Don't know what PCHS has to do with this story. Don't have any sympathy for the woman either. If she has been in trouble for this before; I'd say she is running a puppy mill, not taking in strays; but I could be wrong. But the video has "puppy mill" below it. I'm with wp's grandfather; if the Humane Society won't take strays or drop offs; then put them out of their misery. And if she is guilty of running a puppy mill, and the dogs are in terrible condition; lock her up in a cell without a toilet, and provide her water and food in a bowl; as often as she fed the dogs. Put a load of fleas and ticks in with her also. See how she likes it. I live at a dead end, and we get the occasional idiot that drops a dog or cat off. Most roam away eventually, or get killed out on Military. I haven't had to shoot any.

ThelastHuman You are wright. I've tried to call for some strays that seem to always get dumped in my area. You can't do any thing with or to the animals or get them some help. So really what do ya do if you can't afford to feed them and you can't get any professional help for them?It apears to me that its a double edge sward. Your damned if you do and damned if you don't. I understand rules in place for animal safety. But i dont see any kind of protection for people who dont want or need any more animals but seem to get them dumped on them. Now Y'all take that and run around with it. I would really like to know what i should do with unwanted stray animals. Looking for public advice. What is the wright thing to do. If you havent tried to make one of these calls than you might not understand that a person can be over run. Think about the other side before you down this woman. She may just have a big heart and just have more than she can handle.

where I grew up, it was a farm on 80 acres, people would dump their mangey and malnourished dogs out by our house. At one time, we had 12 that we could not get rid of. People would dump mother dogs with pups and dogs that were pregnant. Thank God no one assumed that we were mistreating those animals and labelled us criminals...I dont know this lady's story, but if it's anything like what happened with all of the abandoned animals dumped near our house, I feel sorry for her. The humane society wouldn't take the dogs dumped on us either. after a while it got out of hand and we couldn't take care of them, ticks and fleas were infesting the land and my grandfather just had to shoot them. We tried to give away a lot of them but to no avail. We didn't ask those dogs to wonder onto our farm.

TheLastHuman, I may fall for that line of BS if this broad only had 2 or 3 animals and had not been in trouble for the same thing once before. But when this is her second time and she had several (not just 2 or 3) dogs, then I'm not buying that crap that she may have been turned down at some vets or shelters. She knew what she was doing and she knew it was wrong. Her dumb ass just decided to do it anyways. No sympathy here.

I wonder how many times she called for help and was told "I don't know what to tell you, we are full, but if you would like to leave us your information maybe we can contact you if we get room." Which translates to ( We would like to start watching you and when we think things are bad enough for a news story that will make us look important and powerful then we'll move in. ) A favorite tactic of the PCHS and Mrs. Simpson. Ever wonder how they find these people? Now you don't have to anymore. Or "We're not taking anymore animals, we have parvo." What the heck! You know there is a shot for that! Another favorite line of the PCHS. For many of these people their only crime was caring too much and being too poor and over worked. "Judge not, least ye be judged."
