LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — A woman charged in a drug and corruption investigation in eastern Arkansas has pleaded guilty to money laundering.
Catina Davis entered a guilty plea Friday in federal court in Little Rock. Prosecutors recommended a two-year prison sentence as part of the plea deal.
Another man, Aron Burns, also pleaded guilty Friday to a drug-related charge. He could face up to 20 years in prison.
Both Burns and Davis will be sentenced later.
They're two of the 71 people indicted in as part of a probe known as Operation Delta Blues. Five law enforcement officers were indicted in the investigation that focused on the Mississippi Delta town of Helena-West Helena.
More than a dozen people, including four law enforcement officers, have entered guilty pleas in the case so far.
