JEFFERSON COUNTY, AR – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a home invasion where a woman says two armed men entered her home, tied her face down to her bed, and robbed her.

The victim tells the sheriff’s office that she answered a knock at her home on 3218 Holiday Drive around 5pm Wednesday. A man wearing a USPS style uniform was at the door, claiming he had a package to deliver.

When the victim turned around to get a pen to sign for the package, the man at the door and another man, wearing a black mask, forced themselves into home.

According to the report, the suspects ordered her to lay face down on her bed so the could bound her to the bed with restraints. The two men then stole several valuables from her home.

After the suspects left, the victim was able to get free of the bed and escape to a neighbor’s house, where her restraints were cut off.

The first suspect, wearing something similar to a postal uniform, is described as 5’8” tall, slender in build, carrying a package and a clipboard. The second suspect is described as 6’1” tall, medium build, wearing a black mask, black shirt, and black pants.

Anyone with information concerning this home invasion is asked to call the investigators at 870-541-5300.

@dilligaf yall are the reason americans have been penalized an forced to pay taxes. dont act like the system just recently took effect. Try doing some home work before making air headed assumptions. If you not happy with living in America then Europe isnt that far. Crime does not discriminate location or color.

There are no comfy prisons in Ar. They don't segregate the perv's murderer's and the rapists from the other's either. So when you send some light weight in what they gonna' be when they get out? The prisons in Newport is where the animals should go. The worst in the state. We have to stop letting off the ones who have money and connections too. We all know if you have enough of those you can get away with murder or anything else. Want to pay less for our prisons? Get the mentally disabled and ill out of them where they become victims. Mental hospitals are 1/2 the cost for them.

Exactly Gemini65!!!! Makes so much sense, but doesn't look like we will ever get back to those days. I'm glad she wasn't hurt though! Could have been much worse.

Regardless of race/skin color etc; If we would go back to the days to where the inmates would have to go out and work during the day cold/or hot. Stop this I wanna get out of jail free card. If the crime was done, 100% time then they should do. If they get the death penlty, hey they would get there sentences within a week in the olden day. We would have more land instead of jails/prisions and more money in our pockets. I for one am for the death penlty. As the Bible state, 'An Eye for Eye,.. It is sad that other people can't go out and work for a living and earn just like the rest of us hard working people, & we wonder why our nation is getting overcrowed and our pockets are becoming empty...

Until we start getting tough on crime - long sentences with a requirement that 100% of sentence be served and actually carrying out the death penalty - these crimes will become more common.

Criminals that use police, postal or any trusted uniform to the public should have a flat sentence of 10 years for just the use of their clothing they used, then add their crime to the punishment. This can be stopped only if our justice system would allow victims more rights than the criminals. I do not agree with the way criminals are put up on pedestals, and the resorts that house them. But then again isn't all politicians white collar criminals? Just makes since they make their beds comfy if they are ever caught.

Just another day in the life of a resident of Jefferson County. Either a victim, or a suspect. If caught, the cowards will only get a light sentence and be out within 6 months. Its the same ol' same ol'. Someone that decides not to work and pay taxes take the option of being a criminal, robs some innocent victim, then the criminals get free housing, free food, free medical and dental. And the taxpayer takes yet another hosing to the pocket book. We usually end up supporting the criminals in one way or another. If we arent paying to keep them in prison, we are most likely paying for their Obama support, I mean welfare. So basically, their are always more than one victim to every crime. The person(s) that the criminal offended, and the taxpayers.
