Let's face it: Not everyone is cut out to work out in the heat. But for eight hours, landscapers from Healthy Lawns & Shrubs work while the sun shows them absolutely no mercy!

"It's at least 100 degrees. It's probably 115 on the blacktop," Jesse Hall said.

Because Jesse Hall and his team have done it for so long, the heat really doesn't bother them.

"You can't just get out and do it in one day. It's going be something over time that you build up and if you can build up a tolerance for it, you can handle it," Hall said.

The crew does everything we've been advised to do, like drink plenty of water and take breaks.  Sweet treats also help them get through it.  Every once in a while they eat a little ice cream.

"It's delicious," one of them says.

It does a body good right about now as it quickly melts.

Then it's back to work so they can get home and enjoy the air conditioning.

"If you can't shake this heat off then you can't do this type of work or any type of work for that matter," Hall said.

Many people work in this; they have to. Your mail is delivered by someone working in this heat. Your first resonders are working in this heat. Construction workers. I worked at Regal for 10 years in the shipping department; a lady working with us put a thermometer in the middle of the warehouse; it hit 120 often in the middle of the summer; so factory workers are working in it too. A very nice gentelman working at a grocery store here in Jax works in it - bringing in carts all day, and picking up the trash that the "trash" put on the ground. And most of all - don't forget our men and women serving our country in the Mid East.
