At 12:37 p.m. on Thursday, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to Bank of the Ozarks on report of a robbery.
After detectives arrived, they gathered enough information to determine that the suspect in the robbery was Keyontae Johnson, 18, of Pine Bluff.
Information on Johnson was sent out to other agencies in Central Arkansas and was arrested by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 1:50 p.m.
During the robbery Johnson displayed a pistol towards a bank clerk and got away with an undisclosed amount of money. Johnson was seen leaving the bank in a grey Ford Taurus going towards Interstate 30.
Johnson is believed to be a suspect in another bank robbery in Little Rock and he was transferred from Jefferson County to the Little Rock Police Department.
Benton Detectives are continuing the investigation and are filing an affidavit charging him with Aggravated Robbery and Theft of Property in this case.
This is still an on-going investigation and additional charges could be added.
