Update: Benton Motel Inspection Turns up Cracked Concrete

BENTON, AR - City code enforcement crews have wrapped up an inspection at a local motel where a 200-pound piece of concrete fell on a child's foot, resulting in a long medical ordeal.

City officials say the inspection at the Capri Inn turned up three other blocks of concrete, like the one involved in the accident, which are cracked. Officials did say they were not able to pull the concrete slabs from the wall.

The motel has 7 days to repair the cracked concrete. If the repairs are not made within that time frame, the motel faces being shutdown until the repairs are complete.

Three-year-old Brayden Bohac's foot is currently in a cast.
