Update: Driver Killed When Van Collides with Stopped School Bus in Cleburne County

Update (1:30 p.m.):
CLEBURNE COUNTY, AR - Arkansas State Police have released the name of the van driver who was killed after the vehicle ran into a school bus that had stopped to pick up a child.

It happened just after 7 this morning on Highway 124.

The driver of the 2004 Kia van is identified as Martha Bearden, 53, of Guy.

Update (10:15 a.m.):
CLEBURNE COUNTY, AR - Arkansas State Police say the driver of a van has been killed after the vehicle ran into a school bus that had stopped to pick up a child.

It happened just before 8 a.m. today on Highway 124. 

Troopers say an infant in the van was not hurt and there were also no injuries on the school bus.

The victim's name has not yet been released.

Original story (9:10 a.m.):
CLEBURNE COUNTY, AR - A school bus accident this morning on Highway 124 is under investigation.

It happened just before 8 a.m. when the bus was rear-ended by a van.

Officials say the bus had stopped to pick up a fourth child and three others were on board when the bus was hit.
 
No children on the bus were hurt.

It's not yet known how seriously the van driver was injured.
