Update: Driver Ticketed for Negligent Homicide after Jogger Killed in Prairie Grove

Update (2:00 p.m.) - 
PRAIRIE GROVE, AR - Police have released the names the victim and driver in a deadly pedestrian accident.

Deborah Hildebrand, 46, died at the scene after being hit by an SUV as she jogged down Highway 62 shortly before 8 this morning.

Police say Jason Purvis, 35, the driver of the Jeep Cherokee that hit Hildebrand, has been ticketed for negligent homicide, reckless driving and driving right of center, which are all misdemeanors.

Purvis was also given a blood test and results are pending, according to police.

Update (11:30 a.m.):
PRAIRIE GROVE, AR (KNWA) - A driver is facing a negligent homicide charge after a woman out for a morning jog is hit by an SUV and killed.

It happened on Highway 62 just before 8 this morning.

Police say the victim was jogging east when a Jeep Cherokee headed west veered onto the shoulder of the road and hit her. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers say the man driving the Jeep was taken to the hospital.

"It's like any U.S. Highway. It's a very busy road, especially around 8 a.m. in the morning. There's a lot of traffic commuting to and from Fayetteville and various areas," said Captain Jeff O'Brien with the Prairie Grove Police Department.

Police have not yet released the names of the victim or driver, who also faces charges of reckless driving.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, AR (KNWA) - One person has been killed after being hit by a car in Washington County. 

According to Central EMS they received a call about the incident on Little Elm Rd. & Highway 62 at 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday. 

The Washington County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident and has not released any further information
