Update: Little Rock Police Arrest West Memphis Man after Shooting

Update (July 8, 10:00 a.m.):
LITTLE ROCK, AR - A West Memphis man has been arrested after a Little Rock shooting.

The Little Rock Police Department says Robert Jamison, 48, is charged with possession of firearms by certain persons and theft by receiving following the incident that happened around 10 Monday night near 10th & College.

Jamison has not yet been charged with battery pending further investigation, according to police.

The shooting left Terry Thomas, 53, of Little Rock with a gunshot wound to the thigh. Police say he was expected to recover.

Police found the wounded man down the street from the shooting scene in the parking lot of a liquor store on E. 9th Street. Thomas told them he was shot by a man known as "Smooth" because he was talking to the suspect's girlfriend.

Police say Jamison was found at a gas station on E. 9th St. with a .380 caliber handgun in his possession that had been reported stolen.

Jamison's arrest record at the Pulaski County Jail noted a hold for parole.

LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Little Rock Police Department is investigating a shooting.

It happened Monday around 10 p.m. at 10th & College streets on the city's east side.

There's been no word from police about any injuries in the incident.

Crime scene investigators were seen taking photographs in front of a home and searching for evidence at last report.
