NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR -- A man receives a new home -- along with another surprise -- in a special ceremony in North Little Rock Friday afternoon.
Habitat for Humanity dedicated the house to John Kendall as part of their "Veteran's Village Project".
Not only was Kendall surprised with his new home -- his two daughters, one whom he hadn't seen in more than 30 years, showed up for the event.
Kendall shares his feelings about the special day.
"It's a miracle that all this happened. There have been a lot of people involved that have helped me throughout the process and I will forever grateful to them," Kendall said.
Kendall was one of 45 veterans forced to leave the Little Rock Veterans Home when it closed in 2012.
