Recap: Ark-Little Rock vs. North Texas

Little Rock, AR (Sports Network) - Alzee Williams scored 25 points to lead the North Texas Mean Green over the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans 75-67 in overtime in a Sun Belt Conference bout at the Jack Stephens Center.

Brandan Walton scored 16 points and Tony Mitchell had a double-double with 13 points and 16 rebounds for North Texas (16-12, 9-6 Sun Belt) which had lost three of its previous five.

D'Andre Williams put in 18 to lead Arkansas-Little Rock (14-15, 11-4) which also got 16 Fromm Chuck Guy. Courtney Jackson had a 12 point, 14 rebound double-double and Michael Javes chipped in 10 points as well for the Trojans who had back-to-back wins entering play.

Arkansas-Little Rock led 36-32 at the half thanks in large part to a hefty 17-3 advantage on points from the free throw line.

Trailing 59-56 with 1:26 remaining, the Trojans tied the game up after Guy put in a lay up and hit an ensuring free throw to tie the game at 59-59. Neither team scored for the rest of regulation to send the game to overtime.

In the extra frame North Texas connected on all five field goal attempts and went 6-of-7 from the charity stripe to capture the win.
