Recap: Hofstra vs. Siena

Hempstead, NY (Sports Network) - Mike Moore erupted for 30 points as he guided the Hofstra Pride to an 81-69 win over the Siena Saints at the Mack Sports Complex as part of BracketBusters weekend.

Also scoring in double figures for the Pride (9-20) were Stevie Mejia and Nathaniel Lester with 16 and 15 points, respectively, as the team snapped a four-game slide.

Siena (12-15) was led by OD Anosike who recorded yet another double-double, this time with 22 points and 12 rebounds as he shot 10-of-12 from the floor as the team had a two-game win streak halted. Kyle Downey filled up his stat line with 17 points, nine assists and six rebounds before fouling out, while Owen Wignot and Rob Poole chipped in 10 points apiece.

The Saints made good on a sizzling 60 percent from the field in the first half, yet the squad had to settle for a 37-37 tie at the break.

In the second half Siena again shot the ball well from the floor overall at 57.1 percent, but the squad missed all five chances behind the three-point line and failed to make a single trip to the charity stripe, en route to the 12-point loss.

In addition to outscoring the visitors at the free-throw line by a 16-4 margin, Hofstra also forced 21 turnovers on the afternoon.
