Recap: New Hampshire vs. Towson

Durham, NH (Sports Network) - Ferg Myrick and Chandler Rhoads scored 19 points a piece to lead the New Hampshire Wildcats to a 72-58 win over the Towson Tigers in BracketBusters action at Lundholm Gymnasium.

Patrick Konan added 16 points in the win for New Hampshire (11-14).

Towson (1-27), was led by Robert Nwankwo, who logged a game-high 20 points and pulled down 13 rebounds. Marcus Damas finished in double figures as well, netting 13 points to go with five boards.

The Tigers shot just 34.8 percent from the field during the opening stanza, enabling the Wildcats to jump out to a 32-22 halftime lead.

In the second half, the Wildcats hit just 43.5 percent of their attempts from the floor, but added 14-of-19 at the foul line to earn a 14-point decision.

The Tigers shot just 33.3 percent from the field, which included a 2-for-17 mark from long range, during the contest.
