Recap: Idaho vs. Green Bay
Moscow, ID (Sports Network) - Stephen Madison scored 19 points and handed out seven assists as the Idaho Vandals took care of the Green Bay Phoenix, 72-62, in non-conference action at Memorial Gym.
Also scoring in double figures for the Vandals (1-2) was Kyle Barone who not only tallied 15 points, he also pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds, while Connor Hill tacked on 12 points in the win.
Brennan Cougill led the way for the Phoenix (2-3) with 19 points, followed by Keifer Sykes with 13 in the setback.
Idaho shot a sizzling 59.3 percent from the field ion the first half, allowing the hosts to move out to a 39-29 lead at the break.
In the second half the Vandals pushed their lead as high as 19 points with 6:37 remaining, but had to settle for the 10-point victory.
The biggest difference in the matchup was that the Vandals were credited with 11 fast-break points, while the visitors had none.
