Lady Bison Moves up to #2 in the Country

SEARCY, AR - The Harding women's basketball team jumped another spot to No. 2 in the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches' Poll released on Tuesday. It's the ninth straight week Harding has been ranked in the top 10 and the third straight week they have been ranked in the top five.

Harding is 27-1 on the season. The Lady Bisons defeated Arkansas Tech 61-54 last Thursday and Southeastern Oklahoma 77-64 last Saturday.

Harding has been ranked 3rd, 4th,6th, 8th, 12th, 15th and 19th this season.

Harding is the highest ranked team from the central region which is made up of the Great American Conference, the MIAA and the Northern Sun.

It's the first time this season Harding has been ranked No. 2 in the poll. It's also the highest the Lady Bisons have ever been ranked.

It was the 14th straight week Harding has been ranked.

The Lady Bisons will be back in action on Friday as they take on Ouachita Baptist in the first round of the GAC Tournament. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:45 p.m., in Bartlesville, Okla.
