LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Students at a Pulaski County Elementary School took time out to raise money for a good cause.
Jump Rope for Heart took place Friday afternoon at Daisy Bates Elementary School.
Students wanted to raise awareness about heart disease and exercise at the same time.
They also raised money and won prizes for their efforts.
Students call this a worthy occasion.
"You help people that have problems with their heart, and you can have fun while you're doing it. You can donate money to show how much you care about the people who have heart diseases," said Kadie Latin, a student.
Students also heard from a man who lives with a heart condition.
The money raised goes to the American Heart Association for programs and research.
