Denham, England (Sports Network) - Karrie Webb fired a 7-under 65 on Sunday to earn a 1-stroke victory at the ISPS Handa Ladies European Masters.

Webb claimed her third victory this year on the Ladies European Tour at 16-under-par 200.

"I came over here to get some tournament rounds under my belt, get some confidence going, get into the time zone and British conditions. To win is just the icing on the cake," said Webb, who will seek her eighth career major victory at the Women's British Open next week.

Ashleigh Simon, who held a share of the overnight lead with Carolina Masson and Klara Spilkova, shot a 3-under 69 to finish in second place at 15-under.

Masson carded a 70 during her final round at Buckinghamshire Golf Club to take third at 14-under, while Sandra Gal (67) and Christina Kim (68) tied for fourth at minus-13.

Spilkova tripped to a 1-over 73 to fall into a share of sixth place with Line Vedel (66) at 11-under 205.

Webb entered the day three strokes behind the overnight leaders, but she more than made up that deficit with an outward 30 that included birdies at the first, third, sixth and seventh, and was capped with an eagle at the ninth.

She added another eagle at the 14th to move to 17-under before dropping a shot with a bogey at the 16th to head into the clubhouse with a lead she would not lose.

Masson and Simon each could have forced a playoff with a birdie at the 18th, but Simon failed to convert her birdie putt and Masson bogeyed her final hole to secure the win for Webb.
