Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - The Cleveland Indians activated pitcher Zach McAllister from the 15-day disabled list and named him the starter for Tuesday's matchup with the Seattle Mariners.
McAllister hasn't pitched for the Tribe since June 2, when he was lifted for five runs -- four earned -- on seven hits and four walks over 4 1/3 frames during an 11-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays.
The 25-year-old right-hander was placed on the DL the next day with a sprained middle finger on his pitching hand.
Over 11 starts prior to the injury, McAllister went 4-5 with a 3.43 earned run average.
To make room for McAllister, the Indians optioned pitcher C.C. Lee to Triple-A Columbus.
Lee made his major league debut on July 14 and did not allow a hit while walking three in two innings of relief work over three games.
