Recap: Detroit vs. Charlotte

Auburn Hills, MI (Sports Network) - Rodney Stuckey scored 16 points and hit a big 3-point shot in the closing minute, as the Detroit Pistons earned an 85-80 preseason win over the Charlotte Bobcats.

Greg Monroe and Brandon Knight each added 15 points for the Pistons, who shot just 37.3 percent from the field.

Kemba Walker posted 15 points, while Tyrus Thomas contributed 14 points and 16 rebounds for the Bobcats.

The Pistons wasted a 19-point lead and were up only 79-78 following two made free throws from Charlotte's Ben Gordon. Charlie Villanueva missed a hook shot at the other end, but got his own rebound and Stuckey nailed an attempt from beyond the arc with 30.2 seconds remaining.

Walker missed a potential tying 3-pointer in the waning seconds.
