New York, NY (Sports Network) - The New York Knicks have signed veteran point guard Beno Udrih to a reported one-year contract, the team announced Thursday.

According to Newsday, the deal is for the veteran's minimum of $1.272 million.

Udrih split the 2012-13 season, his ninth in the NBA, between Milwaukee and Orlando and averaged 8.2 points, 4.6 assists and 2.1 rebounds over a combined 66 games.

The 31-year-old Slovenian lends further experience to the backcourt, where the Knicks are also bringing back point guards Raymond Felton and Pablo Prigioni.

"Beno is a solid addition to our backcourt where he will give us more depth and flexibility," said Knicks general manager Glen Grunwald. "He is a talented and experienced floor general who brings championship experience to our locker room."

A first-round pick (28th overall) of San Antonio in the 2004 draft, Udrih has averaged 9.1 points, 3.6 assists and 2.2 rebounds over 628 career games with the Spurs, Sacramento, Milwaukee and Orlando. He was a part of two NBA championships with the Spurs in 2005 and 2007.
