Bears bring back DT Okoye

Lake Forest, IL (Sports Network) - The Chicago Bears re-signed defensive tackle Amobi Okoye to a one-year contract Wednesday.

Okoye spent last season with Chicago and appeared in six games for the Bears this season before being waived by the team on Nov. 27, collecting 34 tackles and five sacks during his tenure with the club.

The 10th overall selection by the Houston Texans in the 2007 draft, Okoye has amassed 172 tackles and 16 sacks over 84 career games with the Texans and Bears.
