Vancouver, BC (Sports Network) - Vancouver Canucks forward David Booth is expected to be out of the lineup until at least late February with a groin injury.

Multiple reports state the unlucky forward suffered the injury during his preseason physical.

"Booth had an MRI done yesterday. He will be out approximately 4-to-6 weeks," said Canucks head coach Alain Vigneault on Tuesday.

Booth was on the sidelines from early December until mid-January last season after sustaining a sprained medial collateral ligament in his right knee.

The 28-year-old also missed more than three months early in the 2009-10 season while playing for the Florida Panthers with a concussion resulting from a vicious hit by then-Flyers captain Mike Richards.
