HOOVER, Al. - Who's the best running back in the country?  That's an easy answer for Knile Davis.

"Knile Davis," replied the Razorbacks bruising battering ram with a sly grin.

Davis not shy about letting the rest of the country know that he's fully recovered from an ankle injury that kept him sidelined for the entire 2011 season.  His return to the Hogs backfield gives Arkansas one of the top 1-2 punches in the country.

"We're a little bit biased, but we don't believe there's anyone else in the country who possesses two like that," said Arkansas head coach John L. Smith.  "Tyler (Wilson) is a great quarterback, and getting Knile back gives us that ability to run the football to win."

Davis can carry the rock, but it's his other skills that had his QB gushing today at SEC Media Days.

"He's a great pass catcher, we can motion him out and throw balls to him, and he's great in pass protection, so you feel comfortable with him as a quarterback," said Tyler Wilson.

It was tough sitting out last season, but Davis loved the opportunity to watch his quarterback grow.

"When I first saw him, he was a little puny dude, a 4th-string guy," said Davis about his now Hesiman caliber QB.  "What I've seen from him is amazing, I expect a lot of thing from him this year and he should be fun to watch."
